The exact recipe Wingstop uses is pretty straightforward. They use cultured heavy creme (creme fraiche), mayonnaise, and Hidden Valley Ranch powder. And that’s why it’s so good!

Not All Ranch is the Same

One of these things is not like the other! The ranch dressing you get at the restaurant vs. the drive-through vs. the grocery store is quite different.

Bottled ranch dressing (the kind you buy at the grocery store) is made using vegetable oil instead of mayonnaise since vegetable oil is more shelf-stable.
