Café Noisette: The Sweet and Nutty French Coffee Delight
Café noisette is a small French espresso drink softened with just enough warm milk to turn the coffee hazelnut-colored while keeping the espresso flavor front and center.
Equipment
- 1 Espresso Cup (demitasse)
Ingredients
- 8 ounce whole milk
- 2 ounces espresso
Instructions Cook Mode
- Pull a shot of espresso using an espresso machine and pour it into a demitasse cup.2 ounces espresso
- Steam 1/4 cup of milk using a milk frother or steamer until it’s warm and frothy.8 ounce whole milk
- Pour the steamed milk into the demitasse cup, filling it to the top.
- Spoon some of the milk foam on top of the milk.
Notes
Noisette means hazelnut-colored, not hazelnut-flavored. Start with a tiny splash of warm milk so the espresso stays strong.
